About

Daniel An

Daniel is a South Bay native. He attended Narbonne High School and graduated from Gardena High School. During high school, his extracurricular time was spent learning martial arts at the IMB Academy in Carson and tennis at Racquet Swingers in Lomita. Immediately after high school, he served active duty in the Marine Corps infantry and ascended to the position of platoon sergeant. During his enlistment, he also served with the military police and a direct action/counter terrorism unit. After his honorable discharge, Daniel attended and received his BA in political science, with a focus on political theory and philosophy, from the University of California, Berkeley. His professors included American Philosophers Thomas Nagel and Samuel Scheffler. He received his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law.

Daniel began his legal career in San Francisco over 20 years ago assisting litigation attorneys in defense of major oil companies, collaborated with the Attorney General's Office in a Proposition 65 enforcement action, and also worked on the largest government contracts case in U.S. history at the time. In law school, Daniel clerked at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office where he assisted deputy district attorneys with prosecuting homicide cases, meeting with victims' families, and participating in preliminary hearings. He sought a career in the law as a natural consequence of his desire to help people in need. 

As an attorney, he has successfully recovered millions of dollars  for his clients against transportation companies (bus, airline, railroad companies), insurance companies, school districts, grocery stores, major retail stores, gas stations, and state and federal agencies. He also has extensive experience with probate cases, trust administrations, estate plans and deeds, minor's compromises, and other civil matters. Daniel has appeared in both state and federal courts in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. 

Military Awards: Honorable Discharge from 4 years of Active Duty service in the United States Marine Corps, National Defense Medal, Sea Service Deployment (w/1 Star), Meritorious Mast, Good Conduct Medal, Certificate of Commendation, Letter of Appreciation from Base General, 1994-1998, Expert Marksman (highest rifle qualification), WSQ1 (highest swim qualification), and Master Shooter on the police firing range (highest score).

Daniel's hobbies include watching UFC events, trying new restaurants, spending time with his family, and running races (Pasadena Triathlon, 2018; Pasadena Triathlon, 2017; Pasadena Triathlon, 2016; Surf City 10K, 2016; Laguna Triathlon, 2016; SoCal Spartan Beast, 2014; Sacramento Spartan Super, 2014; Los Angeles Marathon, 2012; San Francisco Marathon, 2008; Napa Valley Marathon, 2008).

Caroline R. Hahn

Caroline R. Hahn was born in Los Angeles, from immigrant parents. She grew up in Huntington Beach, California and attended high school in Orange County. Ms. Hahn received her undergraduate degree in History, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She received her J.D. from Chapman University School of Law. She clerked for the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. As a child of immigrant parents, she wanted to help others who could not speak English. As a result, she applied for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. She served as a Deputy Public Defender in Orange County for seven years. From 2018-2020, she worked at the Federal Public Defender’s Office. She has tried in excess of 25 cases to verdict. She enjoyed helping her clients, many of whom were indigent, struggling with mental illness and drug addiction, and suffering from the effects of poverty.

Ms. Hahn continues to have a passion for protecting the rights of the accused. She represents individuals in all types of criminal defense and personal injury matters. Ms. Hahn serves as a board member for the Child Guidance Center, a non-profit organization specializing in assisting children, families, and veterans with mental health in Orange County. When Ms. Hahn is not fighting for her clients, she is enjoying time with her husband and three children, cheering them on in their respective sports games.

Maribel Navarro

Maribel Navarro is a Los Angeles native and a graduate of California State University, Long Beach. She adds Spanish and French to her language repertoire and with her degree in Art History, she has worked with Linus Galleries, Anneliese Schools, and SEEDS organization for most of her career. Entering the world of Law, Maribel is excited to apply her skills to facilitate the work done by the attorneys at the Law Offices of Daniel An. 

In her spare time, Maribel can be found in front of an easel creating a drawing or painting, in front of a sewing machine, or reading a dense history book!
